We expect that when we turn the key in our car that it turn on; we expect to flip the light switch in a room and the bulb to light up. We expect things to work their best. Anything of power if it is not controllable is often useless and dangerous. Electricity, speed, movement, temperature, and yes even you are more effective and safe when in control. It seems that often times we expect everything else and everybody else to be governed and in control but when we choose not to do what we know to be right we figure it is our freedom our right to do so. Self-control and self-mastery bring power, true joy, and many other rewards. Doing what you know to be right no matter the situation or the consequence is being in control. Choosing the easy path or the path of least resistance brings doubt, discouragement and failure. Choose to be in control and live your life and do not seek the easy path and just simply abide your life.
