Helping Hands
|
If there is any way you can help others do it. It looks like times are getting worse economically and that means more stress, heartache, and depression for many. If it lies within your power to help others the blessings and joy are well worth it. Let's work together to make the world better.

Your Fuel Tank
|
I think it is a common practice for most of us to go go go until we are out of fuel. Sometimes this is physically, sometimes it is emotionally and sometimes it is mentally. In our cars it is as easy as looking at the fuel gauge to see how much fuel we have left in the tank. In our own lives it is much harder than looking at a gauge. We often don't realize we are close to empty until we are almost burned out. Keep good care of your mind, body, and soul and pay attention to your fuel level. It is so much easier to fill the tank up when it is 1/4 empty than when it is completely empty.

Seeds
|
It's interesting how you can plant a packet of seeds in the same soil only inches apart and some will grow while others won't. It's interesting how you can pop popcorn from the same batch and some will pop while others won't. It's interesting how you can have two people go through the same trial or challenge and some will grow while others become bitter. Work on going through life's trials and becoming better not bitter.

99 out of 100
|
In some cases 99 out of 100 is a good thing. One example of this would be a score of 99 out of 100 on a test. Other times 99 out of 100 is not a good thing. Finishing a 100 piece puzzle and finding you only have 99 out of 100 of the pieces is not a good thing.
In life some days 99 out of 100 is possible and a good thing; other times a score of 45 out of 100 seems like a tremendous victory. Some days will be more difficult. The important thing is that you get up the next day ready to go at it again. Especially after those days when nothing is working out. Keep moving forward!

Be There
|
When people are going through hard times it's not so much what you say, and what you can do, it's more that you are just there for them.

Decisions
|
Life is made up of decisions. Who do you vote for? What are you going to do today? What are you going to wear today? What do you believe in? What do you know? What will you study? What career do you want to pursue? And the list goes on and on. The biggest thing to remember is to focus on the consequence because once you have made the decision you don’t have control of the consequence it will come on its own.

One Man's Talent
|
| I'm amazed at how many great people there are and how many amazing talents they have. I believe one man's talent is another mans blessing. Work to increase your talents and you will bless others lives while finding happiness in your own.

Fall
|
It seems that fall is one of the easiest changes of the seasons to recognize. As the leaves change and the temperature drops we feel and see the changes all around us. Preparations for harvesting crops and later preparations for winter begin. Fall is a great reminder that you only have so long to get things done. It is a great time to wrap things up for the year in every aspect of life, to finish what you started. Good luck and may the end of the year finish better than the beginning started.

Examples
|
| Pick 5 people you look up to and think of one reason why you look up to each of them. Of those 5 reasons pick one thing you would like to improve on. Tell all 5 of the people (if possible) that you admire them and appreciate their good examples.

Books Books and More Books
|
The number of books in the world amazes me; the number of new books written every year amazes me. Choosing what to read is more of a problem than trying to find enough to read. It's similar in life choosing what to do is more of a problwm than trying to find enough to do. A full life is made up from correct choices of doing good things and reading good material.

100%
|
How interesting life would be if at the end of every day we had a meter that read how much effort we put into things. How much effort did you put into:
Helping Others
Choosing the Right
Your Job
Or any other area of your life you can think of. It's hard to have progress unless you are keeping track of where you've come from and where you are. So the question is: Did you put 100% in today?

Whether You Need It Or Not
|
I think we all have seen the experiment where you take a flower (it helps if it is white) and cut it off and place it in a cup of water and add food coloring to the water and it sucks the now colored water up the stem of the flower and the white flower now starts to take on the color of the food coloring.
Whether the food coloring was good for the plant or not it altered it by just adding it to the water. The environments we choose to spend our time in effect who we are. These environments play a big part in what we become. Whether the environments you choose to spend time in are good for you or not good for you says a lot about who you are and what you will become.

What Moves You?
|
Are you moved by your own need?
Are you moved by the need of others?
Are you moved by the need of friends and family?
Are you moved by the need of strangers?
Are you moved by concern?
Are you moved by happiness?
Are you moved by hope?
Are you moved by fear?
Are you moved by joy?
Are you moved by failure?
Are you moved by success?
Are you moved by difficulties?
Are you moved by ease?
Are you moved by music?
Are you moved by conversation?
Are you moved by literature?
Knowing what makes you choose to take action and what makes you not choose to take action is who you are.
